Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his first title for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with former mentor his previous coach.
Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first title following the Rome competition and first on a hard surface since March of 2023.
The win also indicates he has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my two daughters at once, so to win a title is really nice," said world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his past six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his skill to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform assertively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his first ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet saved four initial break points in a competitive final set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured the title with a rally at the net, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
