'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Galbraith continues clash with Pep's side.

Ethan Galbraith breaks into a smile as he recalls the thrilling final moments of Swansea's remarkable turnaround victory against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup. That match wrapped up with Galbraith picking up a spectator's eyewear after the on-field celebration.

As the match entered added time, Galbraith rattled the woodwork with a speculative strike from 25 yards, and his teammate immediately converted the rebound before charging toward the East Stand to revel in the moment, with supporters mobbing the players.

Remarkable Recovery

This sealed an unbelievable recovery given the Welsh side had found themselves down 2-0 during the second half. In the euphoria, there was some minor mishaps. The midfielder recalled, "There was a spectator shouting out and myself and Keysy [Josh Key] were wondering: 'What's he on about here?' Then we noticed the glasses. It was a funny incident putting them on. We are on the pitch as players but we're humans, too, so to have a laugh with the fans is always good."

Manchester City Challenge

The victory secured a upcoming fixture at home against the Premier League champions on Wednesday, a club Galbraith came close against at the same stage of the FA Cup with Leyton Orient in February. He had a prime vantage point when his former team took the lead in spectacular fashion, with Jamie Donley's volley from about 45 yards going in via the bar and the opposition keeper. It seems unfair that it was recorded as an own goal.

"You would have expected they would've given it to him for taking the effort on from that distance," commented Galbraith, who began the game centrally before moving to right flank after the team changed shape. That meant getting to grips with the England international, with whom he exchanged jerseys, and the attacker was among the City players who paid tribute to the way Orient approached the match.

City's Quality

"Athletically they are outstanding but even the basics and basic skills, they can just perform consistently," Galbraith says. "It feels like they complete every delivery and they are adept at manage and neutralize a game. You can feel you're doing well and then suddenly they will just thread a ball between defenders without you even seeing. You have to be switched on throughout of the game. It demands a strong mentality and attention just to remain competitive."

New Chapter

The club sought to acquire Galbraith in January and fought off rivals to sign him in the summer in a significant move. He established himself as a fans' favourite across multiple campaigns at Leyton Orient and has quickly replicated that in south Wales. At Orient he joined forces once more with his former manager, who previously gave Galbraith his initial sustained opportunity in senior football on loan at his loan club from United. Then came a temporary move at League Two the Manchester club, before he permanently left his boyhood club.

Growth Journey

"I was likely a somewhat inexperienced going into senior level. I think numerous professionals would say under-23s football is entirely separate. Sometimes it appears play is circulated without much intensity. You see few physical contests. Once you start playing first-team football you have to adjust fast."

National Team Success

He has shown that development for both domestically and internationally, shining for the Green and White Army, who are fighting to qualify for the global tournament next summer via the playoffs and for whom he has featured in the recent fixtures, including both legs fixtures against a football powerhouse. Ian Baraclough, Galbraith's ex- international manager, offered the supreme accolade, saying he was Northern Ireland's "little Iniesta or Xavi" given how he manipulates the ball and his eye for a killer pass.

Starting Out

This marks an incredible journey for the kid from the neighborhood in the Belfast suburb, just outside Northern Ireland's main city, who grew up watching his dad, Stuart, also a central player, play for his father's team.

Manchester United Experience

The player's sole appearance for the Red Devils came in Central Asia in 2019, a Europa League trip to the Kazakh capital, where they featured on an plastic turf and the stadium roof was sealed owing to the weather of freezing cold. "It was a extended travel and it was chilly," he recalls, smiling. "The days leading up, myself and quite a few of the young lads practiced as a group, so that assisted our preparation. Just to join the main group and get a couple of minutes at the end was amazing."

Leaving United

How hard was it to depart Manchester United, the club he joined from Linfield aged 16? "This turned out fairly simple, because I got to the stage where I knew I couldn't establish myself at first-team level. I'm extremely thankful for the time I spent there but it got to the point where I thought I had to take a different path, drop down the leagues and play men's football. Now I'm steadily working my way back up."

Welsh Adaptation

This occurs during mid-afternoon at the team's practice facility but Galbraith has somewhere to be at 5pm: a driving theory test, another step towards getting on the road. Prior to relocating to his new neighborhood, the mid-twenties player was a frequent passenger in Swansea's so-called team minibus, a small coach driven by academy staff, the drivers, which transports players to and from sessions and fixtures.

"My companions include the Portuguese player, the Brazilian, Malick Yalcouyé – Melker Widell used to be in it but has begun using his own car. It's enjoyable to spend time with the teammates but I'm hoping to be the next one to drive independently and on the road. His teammate enjoys practical jokes; he's constantly causing mischief."

Supporter Connections

During his time at Orient, Galbraith would travel alongside fans on public transport after commuting at the area he lived in. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
